October 2026

Fall is here! Although it still feels like we are in the peak of summer..

That being said we have chosen some nice transitional wines that will still be delicious with the warmer weather but also tasty with the seasonal produce that has begun to show at the local markets!

We hope you love these wines as much as we do!

La Morella Il Monte

La Morella Il Monte Cortese is a natural white wine from Colli Tortonesi in Piedmont, Italy. Made from 100% Cortese grapes, this wine is crisp and mineral-driven with bright citrus, honeydew melon, and grassy notes. Vibrant acidity with a clean, refreshing finish showing typical Cortese character.

Produced from old autochthonous vines on the favorable climate and diverse soils of the Tortona hills, bottled unfined and unfiltered with low sulfites.

Grapes: Cortese

Region: Piedmont, Italy

Farming: Organic

Pairings: We love this wine with paired with grilled fish, herby pesto pasta, fresh oysters, fritto misto, and fig and goat cheese salads.

Podere Sassi Casamia Rosso

From a small organic farm in the Lazio hills above the Sabine valley, this wine is made with indigenous grapes and minimal intervention. Aged in concrete to keep the fruit pure, it is bright, savory, and juicy enough for any weeknight, with enough texture and personality to enjoy in a more serious setting. The kind of natural Italian red that earns regular-rotation status.

Notes of fresh blackberry, dusty terracotta earth, wild plum, crushed dark gravel, subtle forest floor, with a vibrant, refreshing acidity and soft, integrated tannins.

Grapes: Montepulciano d'Abruzzo, Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo

Region: Lazio, Italy

Farming: Low intervention / biodynamic / natural

Pairings: We love drinking this wine alongside butternut squash pasta, wood-fired sausage and mushroom pizza, continuous charcuterie boards, and grilled pork chops.
