September 2026
Summer is winding down, although it feels like it has just begun! We have chosen some delicious wines from South America, we are going to Chile and Argentina for something fun and different!
The white is a field blend from Argentina, it’s crisp and acidic with a salty finish. Perfect for our “California Fall” where we still get to enjoy summer weather as the days get shorter! The Chilean red, is a delicious crowd pleaser and a great wine to welcome us into the fall season!
We hope you love these wines as much as we do!
Cara Sur Pergolas Criollas Blancas
We have selected a delicious field blend of heirloom Argentine white grapes grown on old pergola-trained vines in the Calingasta Valley of San Juan. The result is a crisp, complex, distinctly southern white with notes of ripe stone fruit, tangy citrus, fresh herbs, and a salty, mountain water finish. There's nothing quite like it!
Grapes: field blend of white Criolla grapes
Region: Argentina
Farming: Sustainable
Pairings: We love this wine paired with grilled white fish, ceviche, or a goat cheese salad
Roberto Henriquez Santa Cruz de Coya
This is Roberto Henriquez’s most mineral-driven País. Grown on 200-year-old vines planted between pines and eucalyptus trees in the Nahelbuelta Mountains, it’s subtle, sharp, and complex. This wine has juicy red berry flavors and violet floral aroma, vegetal and smoky notes, bright acidity, medium tannins, and a fresh mineral finish.
Grapes: Pais
Region: Bio Bio, Chile
Farming: Organic / Biodynamic
Pairings: We like this wine slightly chilled alongside roasted chicken, pork/beef empanadas, or a mushroom pasta!
