Vinho Verde "Azahar", Gota 2024
This wine is 50% Loureiro and 50% Arinto, both native Portuguese varietals. Fermented in native yeasts in cement & stainless (no batonnage): 4 months on lees
There are tasting notes of orange blossom, green fig, and lemon verbena on the nose. The palate delivers crunchy citrus, sea-spray minerality and a sleek; textural finish that channels top Muscadet while keeping the fun Vinho Verde energy. This wine is so perfect for Thanksgiving, as its acidity cuts through the rich flavors of the foods we all love around this time of year.
Steiger-Kalena 2021 Passatella Vino Rosato 1L
85% Montepulciano, 10% Aglianico, 10% Tintilia from Molise, Italy
This rosé feels like a lazy afternoon under the Italian sun—warm, a little rugged, and made for good company. With dusty red fruit, a firm grip, and a whisper of wild herbs, it’s a thirst-quenching blend of mostly Montepulciano, with a splash of Aglianico and Tintilia. Pour yourself a glass alongside a generous wedge of caciocavallo cheese and you’re in for a treat. Better yet, bring this to any and all of your Thanksgiving/friendsgiving events, it is sure to be a crowd pleaser!
Kermit Lynch Cotes-du-Rhone-Villages Rouge 'Cuvee Kermit Lynch' ‘24
This is pure and unmistakable Southern Rhone it’s cozy and warm and so savory. This has the elegance of Pinot Noir, but with a little more weight from the Grenache, plus all of those savory notes from the Syrah. There is a hint of wild herbs and pepper with lovely floral notes akin to lavender and violets. Drink this now without question, it can be sipped casually with a slight chill as an apéritif or on movie night, but has enough weight to stand up to burgers, pizza, grilled meats, or anything else you might throw its way.
This wine harmonizes beautifully with hearty dishes such as herb-roasted lamb or wild mushroom risotto. Allow each sip to transport you to the sun-kissed vineyards of the Rhône Valley.
