May 2026
Spring is coming to an end, and we are enjoying the last little bit of the blooming flowers and mild weather before we kick off longer days spent at the beach! The wines we have selected this month showcase light varietals from Italy and France, and are perfect for picnics, friendly gatherings, and evenings spent with friends on your patio.
A white wine from Provence is simply wine for enjoyment - Floral and exotic.
The Grignolino grape is notably easy to drink, Light and fresh, and perfect with a chill. Notes of red berries, strawberries, and red floral tones, lifted with a bright and fresh acidity that completes the finish.
We hope you love these wines as much as we do!

Gianni Doglia - Grignolino d'Asti
Grignolino is an indigenous black grape variety grown primarily in the Asti zone of Piemonte. Wines produced from this thin-skinned grape are light in color and body, with vibrant red fruit aromas. This particular Grignolino, comes from vines of up to fifty years in age, planted high on the slopes of Castagnole delle Lanze. Strawberry preserves, red cherries, tarragon and white pepper emerge on the nose, along with sandalwood, dried rose petals, ground coriander seed, and orange peel, as the wine spends time in the glass. On the palate, the wine is fresh, vibrant, and bursting with tart, red-berried fruit and baking spice flavors that echo the nose, all of which are supported throughout a lengthy, cool mineral finish.
Grapes: Grignolino
Region: Piedemont
Farming: Organic
Pairings: Look to lighter proteins--roast poultry, grilled chicken or turkey sausages, or braised rabbit. Grignolino is also wonderful with savory pasta dishes like puttanesca.
